This is the year of the Dragon in the Chinese calendar, but China's closest thing to a true dragon--the Chinese alligator--is in danger of extinction. According to a new report by the Wildlife Conservation Society, fewer than 150 remain in the wild. Unless their habitat is restored and captive-bred alligators are introduced, the next Year of the Dragon--2012--just won't be the same.
